Bio
First picking up the guitar at 21 years old, Lindsey received his music degree at
the University of Texas-Arlington three and a half years later and then graduated
with honors from the Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood, California at the
age of 27. His experience has spanned the range and geography of musical
genre—from NYC’s late 80’s hardcore-metal scene to Texas guitar cultures, jazzrock
world fusion, and the musical avant-garde theater of San Francisco.
Now an established guitarist, performer, composer and instructor in San
Francisco and Los Angeles, working with some of the finest players in the world,
Lindsey teaches at the renowned Guitar Institute-Hollywood and has been
commissioned to score the 2007 Tribeca All Access Film Festival Award winner,
“Adopted”, set for release in Summer 2008.
In June of 2007, he released the 10-song original work, “Composition” which is
receiving critical acclaim. In this work, he demonstrates his ability to musically
communicate how culture, chaos, and the reverence for odd time can be
organized into precision and power. As Derek Sherinian puts it, “It’s very Zeppli-Vishnu.”
